Producer Naoki Yoshida (Yoshi-P) revealed that Patch 7.2, titled Seekers of Eternity, will introduce a notably different atmosphere from previous updates. Although a precise release date wasn’t provided, players can expect it to arrive in late March. In the meantime, Patch 7.18—the final minor update before Seekers of Eternity—is scheduled to launch on February 25.
Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.2 Seekers Of Eternity Release Window Revealed
After briefly addressing the recent plugin controversy, Yoshi-P dived into the key highlights of Patch 7.2. As expected, the update will introduce a new chapter of Main Scenario Quests, which should be particularly intriguing given how the previous patch left off. Several new MSQ screenshots were shared, including one featuring an unusually strange-looking Sphene.
Beyond the main story, Patch 7.2 brings fresh Allied Society quests, this time focusing on the Mamool Ja and tailored for gatherers. On the lighter side, players can look forward to more of the ever-entertaining Hildibrand adventures, along with a brand-new Cornservant side quest. Inspired by the surge of fan art featuring the tiny character, the developers decided to craft a dedicated questline to celebrate its popularity.
Yoshi-P provided a sneak peek at the new dungeon coming in Patch 7.2: The Underkeep. This enigmatic castle appears to be constructed within Solution 9, though its purpose remains a mystery. A few additional screenshots showcased a dance hall and winding corridors, but Yoshi-P remained tight-lipped about what players will encounter inside.
Next, we received a brief teaser for the Cruiserweight tier of the Arcadion raids. One of the upcoming battles will pit players against a Lalafell wielding a spray can—an ominous hint that they will transform into something truly formidable. The preview also revealed glimpses of the raid arenas, including a vibrant, disco-themed battlefield. Yoshi-P teased that players can expect “a lot of map gimmicks,” promising dynamic and unpredictable encounters.

Seekers of Eternity will introduce a new Trial called Recollection, where players will face off against a formidable mechanical foe wielding a scythe made of pure energy. Early testers found this encounter particularly challenging, even on Normal difficulty, leading to the removal of certain mechanics—an adjustment that only hints at how intense the battle originally was.
Producer Naoki Yoshida (Yoshi-P) has not yet confirmed when these raids and trials will go live, leaving it unclear whether they will arrive in Patch 7.2 or later. However, we do know that the expansion is set for a March release. A second Live Letter is planned, where we can expect more details, including a potential release date and, hopefully, some in-depth gameplay footage.
